My goal is 10 days and today is my Day 5 last day of sea salt drinking!! Yay :-) This morning my scales let me see iv lost 7.5 lbs.:)I believe i have been doing well as long as i am not near food. I have been sleeping more and exercising every day believing that it will help improve my chance of losing weight. Today after reading the comments and watching Abigale's video my only concern is what if i gain all the weight back on!? I know my goal is to keep eating healthy, but what if i do a one day a week cleanse once a week, will that help improve my chances of not gaining?
Thank you

Glad to see I'm not the only guy on here... My fiance asked me to do the master cleanse with her, and I reluctantly agreed, thinking it would be terrible and torture, but I figured well I just turned 30 I guess its time for an 'oil change' of sorts. I try to eat (semi) healthy, but I don't go waaay out of my way and spend a fortune on health foods and supplements. I'm an omnivore and I believe eating meat is super healthy and necessary (along with a balanced diet). I'm on day 8 and fell great. No hunger pains the whole time, though I thought there would be! I feel good and energetic, been playing racquetball, dodgeball, and disc golf as well as pullups, pushups, etc. Here's a few tips for ppl tryin it out:

Choose a time when there are no big events that require eating! Most ppl quit cuz of bdays or parties or work meals, etc.

Get supplies all ready to make it easy. It shouldn't be a hassle. My fiance got me everything: a big 32oz clear thermos that I marked off 8oz increments to measure water and just shook up the juice in that, a handheld measuring juicer, small container for cayenne, wet wipes (for those desperate times in the restroom and to wipe lemon juice off your hands after squeezing), and a lunch sack to carry everything.

The salt water is terrible, stick with the tea. Peppermint and chocolate are good, didn't try any others.

Don't TRY to lose weight on this. It's not a diet, its a detox. You will most likely slim down a little, but it won't stay off if you start eating like normal afterwards. Many ppl use this as a crash diet but most gain it back soon after.

I will ease out of this and try to eat very healthy for about a week or so, just to give my body the best after the flush, but will go back to my (semi) healthy diet after. It's just a waiting game now. Good luck, enjoy

I am on day 6 of the master cleanse and am feeling much more energetic. I started the cleanse along with two friends in another state. We created a facebook group page in order to share a daily log of our symtoms and feelings throughout the cleanse. I had gained at least 10 lbs. over the weight I felt comfortable. I started at 137, and as of today, I am 127. I still have 4 1/2 more days to go for the original goal of 10 days. It is getting much easier. I see now why people say you may want to continue after the original goal.
I have heard a lot of flack from people about losing muscle mass instead of fat, but the most amazing thing about this cleanse is that once you get over the hump...for me 4-5 days, you start feeling not only thinner, but mentally much more positve. I trustwhat my body is telling me. In addition, I read the entire book "The Complete Master Cleanse" which helped me to recognize symtoms and potential trouble spots before they happened. Extremely helpful!
I highly recommend having a support group. My team has really helped me, and kept me dedicated.
My hardest days were 1 and 2. Mostly because of caffeine withdrawal headaches. After the headaches went away, it was mostly about small projects. Cleaning the house, have lots of cups of herbal (caffeine free tea). I have been hiking three times, for about an hour. I drink two glasses of the lemonade before each hike.
I am looking forward to food again, and will be continuing the vegetarian diet I started a month ago. This cleanse has made me so much more aware of eating habits that I need to change. I fully intend to follow the instructions about coming off of the cleanse to the letter. Orange juice and oranges, with vegetable soup for dinner for the first two days. Veggie diet after.I will post again with my final weight after the ten days are up.:)

I did the ten day fast last year in January. After the fast I ate only fruit and vegetables for about three months. I lost a total of fifty pounds and was able to keep it off. This year I am doing the Master Cleanse for ten days to cleanse and detox my body. I don't really want to lose much weight, but I feel like I have accumulated toxins. I need to get back on track with my fruits and vegetables. I am eating too many sweets and things that I don't need to eat or drink. I have found that fasting is a great way to get rid of those bad cravings. I am on my second day and feel great so far. I didn't do the SWF last year, so this is a new experience. I was successful with it, but I did have a headache for about an hour after drinking it.

Hi. I have tried so many diets and exercise plans including Dr. Bernstein. My doctor advises I should lose 16 kg (35 lbs). I have never dropped more than 20 on any programme and always put it back on in 3 to 6 months as mostly belly weight. But after all my research, I believe I can do this. I have eliminated caffeine and sugars, increased my water intake to 10-12 glasses a day to prepare for the cleanse. 10 days at a time with a 30 day goal. I am inspired by the comments and am committed to getting healthy. I have done a fast before so I am hopeful I can manage this. A little worried about the SWF but appreciated the comments about himalayan salt instead and a little concerned about how to cope while working. Thanks for all the comments -- you have inspired me.
