Since the Master Cleanse Diet requires dedication and will power, it would help if you get rid of “temptations” inside your house. You might want to get rid of delicious food from your kitchen or refrigerator, at least for the meantime. Without temptations around you, it will be much easier for you to succeed on the Master Cleanse Diet.

It’s important to schedule the day you plan to start the Master Cleanse Diet. The Cleanse requires personal adjustments in your daily routine and personal preferences, and it would be disastrous for anyone to start the diet immediately without any preparation. Although you need not take a break from work or school when embarking on the Master Cleanse Diet, it’s important to “time” your dietary intakes and bowel movements.

Before going on the Master Cleanse Diet, you can consult your physician to know if you are healthy enough to embark on this detoxification program, especially if you have a pre-existing medical condition.

Preparing the Lemonade Concentrate

The lemonade diet concentrate is relatively cheap and easy to prepare. Most, if not all, ingredients of the lemonade concentrate can be bought at your local grocery or health store. These are the basic ingredients of the lemonade concentrate:

• Lemons

• Cayenne pepper

• Grade B maple syrup

• Pure, clean and filtered water

• Sea salt (not iodized)

Take note that the lemons, cayenne pepper and maple syrup must be organic. By organic, this means that the produce is grown without pesticides and artificial fertilizers, and processed without artificial preservatives. The water must be filtered and pure water, not ordinary tap water. Tap water from your local water facility may contain harmful chemicals, such as chlorine, and microorganisms.

Bottled water may not be a safe choice, either, since it is not known how clean and pure they are. Some bottled waters are no better than ordinary tap water in terms of quality and purity. If you want the best pure water, you can buy a quality water filter from a trusted company such as Aquasana.

How about bottled concentrated lemon juice? If you can’t get organic lemons, any edible lemons will do, but stay away from processed lemon juice. Concentrated lemon juice is full of sugars and preservatives that will ruin the cleansing process.

Prepare the lemonade concentrate first hand in the morning, preferably after waking up. Get all the needed ingredients and kitchen utensils such as cutting board, knife, electric or hand-held juicer, and spoons. Be sure to wash your hands and the utensils you will use.

Slice the lemons and juice them in a juicer or similar equipment. Depending on the size of the lemons, you may need 3-6 lemons for the whole day. Pour sixteen (16) tablespoons of lemon juice into a container. Add the same amount of maple syrup into the container, and mix. Set aside the mixture in the refrigerator to keep it fresh.

When you feel hungry, take out the lemonade concentrate and mix it, since the lemonade and maple syrup tend to separate. Measure four (4) tablespoons of concentrate into a glass of water, add about 10 oz. of water and 1/10 teaspoon cayenne pepper, and drink it.

You need to consume the entire preparation within eight hours. Depending on how much you can consume in one day, you can change the amount of lemon juice and maple syrup to suit your preferences. It is advisable to keep extra stocks of the ingredients should you fail to consume the entire mix within eight hours and you have to make an extra glass or two.

As a rule of thumb, use two tablespoons each of lemon juice and maple syrup for every 10 oz. glass of water, in case you come up short and you need to prepare a fresh glass of lemonade.

We have compared the prices of amazon’s master cleanse kit with the other supplier’s master cleanse kit. The other supplier gave a cheaper price of $64.95, around $4 cheaper compared to amazon’s $69.15 (we have gotten the price from amazon so you can save your time comparing).

Both give you 64 oz. of certified organic grade B maple syrup (you can have a minimum of 6 drinks a day for 10 days which is more than enough), cayenne pepper powder (you can use it for even 2 master cleanse diet as it is enough for more than 100 drinks!), non-iodized sea salt (enough for 28 days which is almost 3 diets), herbal laxative tea (enough for 16 nights), and herbal mint tea (enough for more than 10 days). Drinking the Lemonade Mix

Keep the lemonade mixture within reach and drink it slowly and surely every time you feel hungry or thirsty. Wash it down with water to remove the aftertaste. All the calories and nutrients are provided by the lemonade drink, so you don’t have to worry about getting weak from hunger.

Obviously, you will feel some hunger. Your body is accustomed to eating delicious, calorie-rich foods and you might find yourself craving for a hamburger or junk food. You can control your hunger by taking a food supplement such as hoodia gordonii extract. Be sure to stay away from tempting foods.

While on the Cleanse, avoid unnecessary stress. You can take a break from work or other strenuous activities like exercise, if possible. Clear your mind from all distractions and give your body the chance to concentrate on doing its job – which is to get rid of unwanted toxins and harmful substances.

You will find out that this process is a challenging one. You might feel tempted to stop the Cleanse because you will miss the delicious, unhealthy food that you love to eat. There will also be a lot of flatulence as a result of the body trying to get rid of toxins and other artificial matter. These are part of the challenges of undergoing the Master Cleanse Diet and can spell the difference between success and failure.

Drinking lemonade and water all the time might be boring, not to mention the hunger pangs associated with an all-liquid diet. To break the monotony and boredom, you can also drink decaffeinated herbal teas. Good herbal teas are available at your local grocery store.
